Jane, a finalist for a CAPS grant in poetry from the National Endowment of the Arts, is an essayist for the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Her book, Acting Techniques for everyday Life: Look and Feel Self-Confident in Difficult Real-Life Situations, is in its fifth printing. Her deck of flash cards, Perform at Your Best: Acting Techniques for Business, Social and Personal Success, has won the Gold Axiom business Book Award. She teaches Acting Techniques for Everyday Life at universities, corporations and privately.
Jane was commissioned by the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. to write and perform the one-woman play “Reminiscences of Mozart By His Sister,” which she also performed at Lincoln Center in New York.
She starred in her one-woman play "Dear Nobody," which she co-authored with Terry Belanger. It ran for a year Off-Broadway, was produced on CBS for Camera Three, and toured to London. Jane also starred in her three-character play, "Jane Avril," which was filmed for the Lincoln Center Library. After its Off-Broadway run, the play was translated into Danish and produced in Copenhagen. Her play, "Bats in the Belfry,” was produced at the Spoleto Festival.
