Baked Pears with Oatmeal Crisp

½ Pear per person
Oatmeal
Butter
Brown sugar
Cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350ºF.

Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise.
Remove the stem. With a melon-baller or small
spoon scoop out the seeds from each half. Leave
a small well to fill with the oatmeal crisp.

Use enough oatmeal to be able to fill all the halves.
In a small bowl , mix the oatmeal, brown sugar, 1
teaspoon melted butter per pear half and a generous
pinch of cinnamon. Pile the oatmeal mixture loosely
into the wells.

Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
or until the pear flesh is browned and carmelised a bit.

Can be served with or without whipped cream or
pistachio ice cream.
