Gemini II
by Sharmagne Leland-St. John

My father carved me from mountains
gave me laughter from bubbling springs

a voice to call my own
a song to sing

He gave me the willows whispering
beside dark waters
and a place to call home

He gave me the skies
he drew from memory

He etched me from sandstone
and gave me a reason to believe
