Malibu Clam Dip
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland- St. John
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1⁄2 teaspoon sea salt
1⁄4 teaspooon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon horse radish
1⁄4 teaspoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon onion, grated
4 drops tobasco sauce
1⁄2 cup clams, minced, juice reserved
1 tablespoon clam juice,
1⁄2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons fresh chives, snipped
Place the first 9 ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer.
Mix at low speed until thoroughly blended. Add the clam
juice and continue blending. Add the sour cream and mix
until it is the consistency of whipped cream. Add the clams
and continue blending. Add the chives and blend only until
incorporated. Pour into serving bowl and chill for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with the paprika.
Serve with crackers or chips.
