Winter Dust
by Maggie Kirton

empty room of twilight dust
trickling, tickling the bare
and settling into cracks
already too filled
already too old
already
sunset moments add hue
colour to what should be white and grey
wooden floors reflect
the odour of an un-green season
the scent of twilight dust
on a cold and wintry day
