Dream Girl
by donnarkevic

I wake up from a dream
about my dream girl, her hair
the color of hopscotch chalk,
her smile bright as a full moon.
Across the night sky, she waltzes,
a sure-footed comet, her beauty
spellbinding as the rings of Saturn.
To the heavens my hands stretch,
her body elusive as planets,
my universe revolving around
the notion she may land
near me, a speck of earth dazzled
if only for a moment by her presence.
