Ed Bennett was an inspirational man. Although we'd never met in person, our relationship online
was one filled with support, encouragement, and focus, for we shared the bond of poetry and Quill
and Parchment; that in itself is a spiritual blend. He was my muse. Rarely did I read a poem that
didn't contain unfamiliar words forcing me to seek out its origin, an English and art lesson rolled
into one. He was a caring man. I knew this through his poetry that shone a light on his loving but
often aching heart.

Like a true great poet, his life was one born of celebration, heartbreak, and despair. He was an
expert in critiquing the works of the novice and the skilled.   He was a favourite contributor of
mine on Q and P for his ability to highlight the extraordinary of poets' work with the highest .
regard. Negative criticism was not in his nature.   He was a man of integrity opting to see the
promise, never the missteps, of those who have made it their mission to perfect the spoken word.

When I learned of Ed's death I knew the world just lost a truly brilliant man. Ed R.I.P. I miss you
already.

Love,
