The Rhythm and the Dance
by Garth Craven

All is movement.
Sap-rise
In rhythm with the turning Earth.
In rhythm with returning seasons.
In rhythm round the circled sun.
In the rhythm there is music.
In the music there is rhythm.
From the rhythm with the music
comes the dance.
There is always the dance

All is movement.
Tide-flow
In time with the circling Moon.
In movement round the circling Earth.
Performing the Celestial dance
to the music of the spheres.
For there is only the dance.

All is movement.
Blood-flow
In rhythm with the pulsing heart.
In measure through the arteries.
The dance of birth and becoming.
The dance of death and resurrection.
In all things is the dance.
There is always and only the dance.
