Ginger Herbal Tea
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

½ teaspoon ginger root, grated
½ teaspoon orange peel, grated
½ teaspoon lemon peel, zested
3 whole cloves
Stevia leaf or honey

To brew your tea, place about 1/2 teaspoon of
the herbs and peels per cup into your tea ball
or bag. Cover with freshly boiled water.boiling
water. Place a lid or napkin on it immediately
to retain the essential oils. Let it steep for
between 3 to 5 minutes, according to your taste.
If you need to sweeten, use the honey or stevia.

Ginger is an immune booster and will help to quell
menstrual cramps.

Cloves are an aphrodisiac in nature and hence
they serves as an excellent stress reliever. They
have a stimulating effect on the mind and remove
mental exhaustion and fatigue. When taken internally,
in appropriate amounts, they refresh the mind. Cloves
also induce sleep and are helpful to insomnia patients.
Oil of cloves is useful for treating mental problems
such as loss of memory, depression and anxiety.
